November 13 is the day the world marks World Kindness Day. Started in 1998, World Kindness Day aims to promote kindness and positivity throughout the world. It's a day that provides opportunity to reflect on our behaviours and to find ways to spread positivity and love.
This World Kindness Day we'd like to take a moment to reflect on bullying, and the negative impact it has on us all.
Over the past year, we've witnessed a rise in online and in-app bullying from readers towards writers.
We'd like to ask readers to join us in taking a stand against online bullying. We want our community to feel safe from harassment and hate, regardless of your race, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Wattpad is a place for people to express their voices and themselves, but it is important to remember that words have power. Words can uplift and inspire people. But they can also cause harm and hurt. When commenting and sharing opinions, it's important to consider how your words may affect another person.
We encourage our community to be kind, share space and spread love always.
