I've decided to chronicle stuff in this chapter because this series has come a long way (and is still coming some way in this platform). This is where you'll see a lot of random stuff that went on whether in this specific book or in the series.
When I first started writing, I have no idea how to make a good cover so along with this part is also a brief overview of how my graphic design skills would go. Haha. You'd be surprised at how noob I am. lol.
So, let's get started!
This is one of the oldest covers of COF that I never got to use. It's around publishing the fourth book that I implemented the new set of covers so nobody really got to see books 4 until 6 in this really old format. xD So yeah. I originally intended this scene to be in Synketros and that red-haired lady be the Sovereign but following recent adjustments, it wasn't meant to be. The Sovereign still had red hair though, so weeeee.
This is actually a photoshop painting of some artist that I now forgot the name of. It's based on a real picture and I loved it so much that I based Rafaline's features on this model. xD Imagine this as the faded sketch Xanthy and Cirasa saw in Pelrise's locket. uwu. I love it so much so to whoever edited this on photoshop, you have my massive thanks. <3
Same spirit as the previous one, really. This is the easiest thing to do since it's just two silhouettes yeeted on top of each other. xD I was, however, forced to yeet the moon to the side because the head would overlap with it. So out of all the covers in COF, this is the only one with the misplaced moon. xD
Yeah. This story and this book in general have been through a lot. xD I hope you are entertained by this mindless rambling that I did and I hope you move to the other books to follow Xanthy's journey. See you in the next book! :)
