Julian's POV.

I put the cake in the fridge as I pulled off my dirty apron strutting towards where my locker was so that I can change my clothes, I am so glad that my shift is finally over, it's not like I'm tired,no, I just want to be a lone in my house so that I can think properly, I so much like my space most of the time that's why I don't have friends. I normally don't want people to invade my privacy and certainly friends do that, friends don't know there boundaries, I had a friend in highschool but the guy used to come in my bedroom without even inviting him in, he started touching things which wasn't his and that didn't sit well with me at all.

I sighed deeply throwing my dirty clothes in my bag pack so that I can wash them when I reach home. I got out of the locker room and I groaned loudly  " why are you in a hurry julian" oh dear God, not now. Kase, was my coworker who has been conning me for over a year now but the guy doesn't quit, I tell him everytime that I am not ready for a relationship but the guy insists. If I didn't love this job I would have quit a long time ago because of him but I love baking so much in that I want one day to own my own bakery in future.

" Not now kase" I sighed pulling my hand away from his grip and I tried to walk past him but he didn't get the memo, the motherfucker stood in front of me blocking my way.

" Dinner" he looked at me with puppy eyes.

" Kase what do I always tell you" I asked him shifting from one leg to another wanting to leave right now.

"You always tell me that your not in the mood" he replied hurt in his voice which hurt me a little bit cause I know how love hurts when its not returned though this was for his own being, I can't give him false hopes, I will not feel that way about him like ever and my life is a mess right now, he will not handle it and first of all,my heart is closed off, it can't love again.

" You've got your answer" kase bit his lips like he wants to cry his face turning a cherry of red sightly. Kase is a cute guy, standing at the height of 5'11, blonde wavy hair, with his sparkling sky blue eyes which looks like the sky, straight nose, pink plump lips, strong jaw, straight eye brows and he can totally be my type but my heart doesn't feel that way about him. I passed by him wanting to leave.

" Julian" I sighed when he called my name, I turned around looking at him and he had a big smile on his face " I am not giving up" I shook my head walking towards the front desk not replying him. I don't want to waste my time on him right now,I have much pressing issues to deal with.

" Ruby I'm leaving see you tomorrow" I smiled at the old lady whom I happen to love so much. Ruby is like a mother to me, she helped me so much when I first arrived here in Boston, she was the first person who hired me when I was in need of a job so badly and since then we have created a bond between us and she was the only one I loved in all of Boston.

" Sweetheart you look tired" she pointed out pressing the back of her hand on my forehead of course to feel my temperature " your temperature is normal but you need to rest julian, you work a lot" she said concerned.

"I am ok Ruby" I responded smiling.

" No your not, for God's sakes julian I raised your salary thinking you will quite one of your jobs but no  " she shook her head in disbelief.

" I need money Ruby" I replied her biting my lips hard.

" I know darling trust me I understand perfectly but your a lone julian, you have no kids, no husband, you have no responsibilities at all yet you work your ass off" she argued " you rent a good apartment, your still young live a little my boy" if she knew what I was going through at this moment, she wouldn't say those words.
